Africa, the world's second-largest continent in poverty, is home to 1 billion 275 million people. Despite being one of the richest geographies in the world in terms of natural resources, the continent with 54 countries is one of the poorest and undeveloped regions of the world. Underground resources, people, and cultures have been exploited for centuries, exposed to various pressures, and have never been separated from poverty until today.

According to the UN's report, 821.6 million people, or 11 percent of the world's population, suffer from hunger. The African continent has the highest hunger rate. One out of every five people across the continent and one out of every three people in East Africa struggles with hunger. According to the report, it is emphasized that 20 percent of the African population suffers from hunger. People who lead a life away from their ability to produce their food are struggling to survive. Agriculture and animal husbandry, which are the most common livelihoods of the continent, are a source of survival for families.
